Leadership Team

Cynthia Newman is an Inspirational Speaker, Author and Entrepreneur whose mission is to empower, inspire and encourage others to live their best lives.  A graduate of Purdue University and Licensed Minister, she founded the Raising Queens Initiative as an outgrowth of her award winning book Raising Queens, where she empowers women and girls, through workshops and her annual Raising Queens Summit.  Cynthia has received numerous awards including a proclamation from the Indiana General Assembly for her work with women and girls in our community.  Cynthia has built a career in the financial services industry and resides in Brownsburg, IN.

Esther Carter-Day, MBA started her banking career over 18 years ago.  Since then, she has held positions as Senior Credit Analyst, Credit Coordinator, Senior Construction Loan Officer and Relationship Manager with several local banks including JP Morgan (formerly Bank One), BMO Harris Bank (formerly Marshall & Ilsley) and Union Savings Bank.  When she’s not being a banker she spends time serving as a board of director for several not for profit entities, including Renew Indy (eliminating blight and abandoned homes in Marion County), Indy CREW (Indianapolis Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women) and Raising Queens.  In all these roles, she provides a financial glance of the organization in which she serves.   Carter-Day mission is to identify financial resources and help organizations increase its financial wherewithal's.

Stephanie Brown holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from IUPUI and a Master’s of Business Administration from Indiana Tech.  She currently works as a Senior Consultant/Market Conduct Examiner.  Stephanie has participated in the United Way Leadership Development program and volunteered with Second Helpings and the National Federation of the Blind.  She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the youngest of 8 children.

Tracy Boyd is a Marion County TEACH Counselor with Indiana Association Education Young Children. Tracy is truly passionate about building up courageous girl to serve as tomorrow's leaders in our community as poductive citizens. Her numerous volunteerism roles include Teen Advisor and past Teen Administrator for New Beginnings Fellowship Church, Junior Achievement, L.A.D.I.E.S. and others organizations. Tracy is very proud to serve in the capacity of Board of Trustee for Martin University. Tracy has received various awards for her dedication to the community.  Along with her passion for youth, she is passionate about getting our city to engage in intelligent politics and has campaigned for the office of Lawrence Township Trustee.

Iris Dillon is an Events Consultant with over 25 years of experience. She currently serves as the Event Coordinator for the Brewers of Indiana Guild, the not-for-profit trade organization that directly supports Indiana's craft beer industry. Iris is also passionate about the arts where she recently held a board seat with Asante Children's Theater and currently working with Jazz Kitchen on the annual Indy Jazz Fest. She is the former President of the Optimist International Indiana Chapter, and Indiana Jazz Fest Committee Member. She is passionate about seeing the community grow through discovery of the arts.

Alicia Magee is a Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience.  She has held past positions with Eli Lilly and the National Collegiate Athletic Association and is currently the owner of Knot Enough Hands LLC.  She has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  Alicia is also the proud mother of two and has volunteered with The Alzheimer’s Association and ASPCA.

As a leader, teacher, speaker, motivator and coach, Gretchen Grier has dedicated her life being of service and helping to enhance the human experience.  She has a passion for children and families and has spent the last 20 years working for the Indiana Department of Child Services to protect our most vulnerable citizens the children.  Gretchen has a bachelors of arts in sociology and child development from the University of Illinois and she is the proud mother of 3 adults sons and an adorable granddaughter.
